So we are nearly at the end and I am so happy already seeing my game come together. This week was the week I needed to add the little details to add to the experience of the game, this included:

  • Adding a Main Menu to my game.
  • I added a button on the players screen so they can pause, or restart the game etc.
  • I then enlarged the button icons after building and running my game as they were smaller then I imagined.
  • I tested out different textures on my ball and finally decided on the chosen skin.
  • I added a few more gems to the game.
  • I made sure you could trace your steps back easily incase you missed a gem and you don't want to restart all over again.

screenshot of skin I didn't like in the end.

Am I finding anything difficult before I am fully completed the game?

No! ahahahahah weird hearing that now... This journey was actually fairly smooth sailing for me. Of course some weeks were harder than others but I have not faced a big problem at all!

  1. hey Linda ,
wow your game looks really good, i really like the world you have created for it . the beach sort of look with the sand and the blue waves looks really good. I like the idea of adding in the gems as it gives the player an objective which is very important to a game. You defiantly made he right choice on the new skin you choose for the ball, the new blue and purple colors suit your game style much better .i also had the issue with the restart buttons being to small as it can be hard to get it right in the little preview screen in unity. looking forward to seeing your final game and playing it!

  3. Hey Linda,

Wow, this game really looks awesome! Fair play for getting this far and achieving what you have. The graphics look really polished and the way you have you global lighting positioned makes the assets really stand out. You're definitely in the minority not having many issues, I wish I could say the same about my experience hahaha. But really, I'm so impressed with some of the projects this semester but yours really stands out! Congrats!
